Fast Food Proximity Report - June 15th 2020
Our #BostonRedline85 awareness campaign started over 2 years ago with this simple but clear exercise that showed that multicultural communities have 2-3 times more fast food restaurants designed into their neighborhoods. This was the first research done and it was submitted to the court as evidence in HELENA TONGE vs BOSTON LICENSING BOARD & 2 others (Finard Properties - developer and BK operator Northeast Foods) which the community eventually lost. The Burger King has been operating ever since with complaints of children getting sick from eating BK food , traffic , air quality etc from the school leadership & students.
